ENUSP Congress in Hilleröd

The 7th ENUSP Congress was held in Hilleröd, Denmark. 58 participants from 19 European countries participated in the Congress. The delegates adopted the agenda of the General Assembly and approved the former report of the General Assembly in Thessaloniki, 2010. Gabriela Tanasan presented annual reports for 2011-2012. She briefly explained what had been done by ENUSP in the past years: The ENUSP empowerment seminar “Nothing about us, without us” in Brussels, the ENUSP empowerment seminar ”From Strategy to Reality” in Zagreb in 2012, the ENUSP empowerment seminar “Strategy for empowerment – Key areas of action” in Bucharest in 2013, and the Strategic plan 2012-2015 of ENUSP. Then Piotr Iwaneyko presented report on activities in 2013 and 2014, mostly about events and collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and European Disability Forum (EDF). After that Eric Olsen presented on the EDF participation, and the history of consultation with various organizations. The bookkeeper of ENUSP, Claus-Bech Nielsen presented the financial report for 2011-2014.

The delegates adopted the new revised Statutes and finally elected the new board. Most nominees were elected unanimously. Olga Kalina from Georgia was elected as the new Chair of ENUSP. Guadalupe Morales from Spain was elected as the Deputy Chair.
