Horizons Foundation
A local mixed organisation with a total of 70 members, 40 of them users/survivors.
Purpose: to support mental health service users and survivors to regain their self-confidence and to get into abilities and skills that to allow them an independent and active life at community level.
Main activities: The publication since 1995 of the „A FI – TO BE” magazine; Advocacy; Involvement in the elaboration of the local mental health policy; Media work in order to promote a positive image of mental health service users as active people at community level; Exchange of experience, cooperation and partnerships with Romanian and foreign NGOs with common goals.
