The mad hatter
A regional organisation with 15 members.
Membership: users and survivors of psychiatry and activists willing to fight against psychiatric abuses and promote psychiatric users’ and survivors’ social inclusion and empowerment.
Purpose: to defend and improve psychiatric users’/survivors’ human rights and empower their self-help capacity. The main goal is to raise awareness about the users’ and survivors’ main concern: self determination and freedom from bodily harm.
Main activities: mad-pride organisation, set-up of a national user/survivor network, help in individual cases of abuse.
