Serious violation of patients’ rights in Romania

Serious violation of patients’ rights recently happened in Romania: the patients admitted to the Department of Psychiatry of the Targ-Jiu County Hospital were asked to strip and kiss, all for the amusement of the medical staff.
The movie that appeared in the public space was made at the Psychiatric section of the County Hospital in Târgu-Jiu.
The images show that, between the bars separating women and men, an employee urges a patient man and a patient woman to have sex.
According to the video, they are even given indications to the fun of the other patients and the one filming. The one filming is the daughter of the hospital manager’s concubine, who was employed as a registrar in the psychiatric section.
The situation becomes even more shocking when a patient woman comes to ask the medical staff for her medication, but because the employee is busy with the filming of the mentioned video, she sends the patient woman away, threatening to even hurt her if she does not leave.
