The Confcap-Capdroits project was launched in 2015 as part of the dynamic of research programmes being conducted by Collectif Contrast at the time, a group of academics, researchers, sociologists, logo_capdroits2legal scholars, members of the judiciary, philosophers, mental health and social service users, persons with disabilities, their family members, health and social service professionals, and other interested allies. Today, Confcap-Capdroits is a scientific and citizen-based research group focusing on the conditions necessary for persons to exercise their rights and find support to make their own decisions when faced with situations of vulnerability or incapacity. The objective is to find ways for persons in these situations to fully understand and exercise their fundamental rights. The Confcap-Capdroits programme is designed for mental health service users, family members, professionals and researchers interested in coming together to engage in a dialogue based on their experiences and expertise.
